Investing Locally To Improve Customer Experience in Stores

As we continue with our nationwide commitment to improve customer service, we’re investing locally here in Michigan by opening new Xfinity® retail stores with Flint Township being our latest addition.

This beautiful, 5,000 square-foot space, located in the Genesee Crossing Shopping Center off Miller Road, is designed entirely around our customers’ needs. The technology in our home is becoming more sophisticated and we’re relying on these products and services more than ever before. Consequently, as consumers, we have more decisions to make before purchasing. Our new XFINITY retail stores, like Flint Township, provide our customers with an opportunity to explore, learn about and interact directly with all of our products and services.

The feedback from customers has been great.

“It’s a beautiful store,” said Justus Thigpen, a longtime Xfinity customer. “I’m quite pleased with the people. They’re always pleasant. They’re professional. That’s key.”

“You have to come see it to believe it. It’s state of the art,” said David Miller, a 20-year Xfinity customer.

We’ve got a rich history in Michigan, and in Flint in particular, spanning more than four decades. So, investing in our communities where our customers and employees live and work is important to us.

“Comcast not only stepped up through the water crisis, but also provided this brick and mortar store right in a main economic thoroughfare,” said Michigan Senate Minority Leader Jim Ananich. “It shows their commitment to Flint and Genesee County, and that’s important.”

Our new store features flat screen HD TVs and a comfortable seating area so visitors can settle in and experience our X1 entertainment operating system as though they’re in their own homes. Through hands-on demonstrations, our customers can learn about other XFINITY products, including high-speed Internet, voice and connected home solutions. The store also features an iPad bar f

or visitors to trial XFINITY’s mobile apps that let customers watch live TV, stream On Demand content, download movies and TV shows, and manage and monitor their homes while on the go.

Along with product and service demos, customers can pay bills, pick up and return equipment and get assistance from our trained, knowledgeable local sales consultants. Our dedicated sales professionals are here to assist you Monday through Saturday between 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
