Stay Connected, Michiganders

Connectivity is arguably the most sought-after technology feature in our digital world. Internet access from phones, tablets and other electronic devices is no longer an accessory, it’s a necessity.

According to Pew Research Center, roughly 77 percent of Americans have smartphones and 88 percent use the internet. As a result of the increase in smartphones, the mobile data usage across North America will grow by at least 30 percent each year until 2021.

With more people expected to consume the same data sources on their mobile devices, a fast, reliable and secure internet connection is a must.

XFINITY customers can enjoy the perks of more than 17 million hotspots nationwide – at no additional cost, and are only a hotspot away from downloading Snap Stories and uploading Instagram videos.

“My favorite feature is the one-time login,” said Rob Ponto, Senior Public Relations Manager of Comcast Michigan. “Once you sign-in, your credentials are remembered and you can connect to the XFINITY WiFi app which then enables your device to connect to XFINITY WiFi hotspots at work, friends’ houses or around town.”

We searched the XFINITY interactive hotspot finder to uncover some popular activities that can be enjoyed across Michigan this summer, without racking up data charges.
