I’m a huge fan of happy endings. Whether boy meets girl or girl marries boy, there’s no love story too gushy for me. As you can imagine, that makes me immediately drawn to Hallmark Channel movies like “Autumn Dreams” and “All of My Heart.”

But Christmas is my favorite time of year because it’s a near 24-hour cycle of holiday love stories. For years, I watched in amazement, wanting a happy ending of my own, but not knowing if it would be possible. In October of 2015, everything changed.

I decided to try my luck with online dating. To my surprise and delight, I met Joe. After talking for a bit, we decided to meet in person. In a made-for-Hallmark twist, I stopped to pick up takeout for lunch before our date that evening and my fortune cookie read, “An unexpected relationship will become permanent.”

And boy, did it.

We hit it off immediately and began dating seriously, bonding over fall, holiday and outdoor activities. Before I knew it, he was watching “A Royal Christmas” with me and I realized I’d found my very own Hallmark movie prince.

I work at a PR agency and find that watching movies together is a great way to wind down at the end of a fast-paced day. With the X1 Voice Remote, all my favorite movies are just a couple words away – no flipping through channels for me!

Perhaps the best part is our X1 DVR, which allows me to record up to six movies at once so I never have to choose. Luckily, my husband gives me free rein of the X1 DVR, but even with all my movies, there’s still plenty of space for him to record his favorite documentaries as well.

I’ve watched more love stories than I can count but mine is definitely my new favorite. Who knows – perhaps my next fortune cookie will read, “You will soon be featured in a Hallmark movie.”
