Comcast has further enhanced its network capabilities in Hillsdale and Jonesville and the surrounding communities it serves by giving residents and small businesses the option of an up to 1.2 Gigabit per second (Gbps) connection without costly and disruptive construction of new network facilities.
Surrounding communities also receiving the network enhancement include Adams Township, Allen Township, Cambria Township, Fayette Township, Hillsdale Township, Jefferson Township, North Adams Village, Pittsford Township and Scipio Township.
The service uses Comcast’s existing technology, which makes it possible for Xfinity residential and Comcast Business internet customers to receive gigabit speeds over the communications lines most customers already have in their homes and offices.
This network enhancement is part of the company’s $850 million in investments over the past three years in Michigan to meet the ever-growing technology needs of residents and businesses. Comcast’s ongoing investments in its Michigan network and technology upgrades ensure the company stays ahead of consumer demand.
