Comcast has further enhanced its network capabilities in Southwest Michigan by giving residents and small businesses the option of an up to 1.2 Gigabit per second (Gbps) connection without costly and disruptive construction of new network facilities. The network enhancements will reach the following communities:

Almena Township Antwerp Township Decatur Village Decatur Township Hamilton Township
Kalamazoo Lawrence Township Lawton Village Lawton Township Marcellus Township
Mattawan Village Oshtemo Oshtemo Township Paw Paw Village Paw Paw Township
Portage Porter Township Texas Charter Township Waverly Township Volinia Township

The service uses Comcast’s existing technology, which makes it possible for Xfinity residential and Comcast Business internet customers to receive gigabit speeds over the communications lines most customers already have in their homes and offices.

This network upgrade is part of the company’s $850 million in investments over the past three years in Michigan to meet the ever-growing technology needs of Southwest Michigan residents and businesses. Comcast’s ongoing investments in its Michigan network and technology upgrades ensure the company stays ahead of consumer demand.

New and current residential customers can visit Xfinity.com/gig to learn about the new service and request additional information. Businesses can upgrade by visiting business.comcast.com/gig.
