Comcast Offers Veterans Ways to Bridge Digital Divide

Comcast has been working for the past 11 years to help remove barriers to digital adoption. Price of internet service is one of those barriers. On Friday, October 21, Comcast representatives will be on hand at the VA Stand Down event in Battle Creek to help income-constrained veterans learn about the federal government’s Affordable Connectivity Program.

ACP is a $30 monthly subsidy to help families in need buy home internet service – enough to cover the full cost of high-speed service. An estimated 48 million households in the US are eligible for the ACP – yet fewer than one-third of eligible households have enrolled. Visitors can also learn about discounted internet service like Internet Essentials  and Internet Essentials Plus.
