Learn How Comcast Is Helping Metro Detroiters Benefit From The Affordable Connectivity Program

In 2022 alone, Comcast and local community partners have hosted nearly 80 public events in Detroit and the surrounding area to help people connect to the transformative power of the Internet. This includes educating people on the federal government’s Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), which is a benefit program that helps ensure every household can afford broadband connection. For eligible households throughout Detroit and neighboring communities, the program provides a credit of $30 per month towards internet service.

Qualifying customers can now visit any of our metro Detroit Xfinity stores to enroll in ACP and sign up for the company’s signature digital equity initiative Internet Essentials. For eligible customers with both Internet Essentials and ACP benefits, at a cost of $29.95 a month — which is completely covered by ACP — the Internet Essentials Plus package offers fast speeds to support the performance of video and music streaming, video calls and gaming, and comes with a free cable modem and WiFi router.

Another option for customers who are active mobile users, qualified individuals can also stretch their credit to cover the cost of high-speed internet ($9.95) plus one line of unlimited data on Xfinity Mobile ($45) for less than $25 per month. This ensures you’ll stay connected at home and everywhere you go.

Along with visiting one of our Xfinity stores, new and existing Xfinity customers are invited to learn more about the ACP and find out if you are eligible, by visiting  Xfinity.com/ACP or call 844-389-4681.
