Comcast Brings New Partners, Funding to Detroit’s Rocket Classic

Comcast powers Golf & Give program, supports non-profit organizations in fundraising opportunities and on-site activations

Comcast is bringing the fun and philanthropy of the 2025 Rocket Classic to life, on and off the course.

During the tournament, Comcast hosted several nonprofit organizations, including Neway Works, Forgotten Harvest and Ronald McDonald House Charities Detroit on the course. Each organization had an activation space to share their mission with tournament attendees and spectators, as well as opportunities to get involved.

This is the first year Neway Works was invited on the Rocket Classic PGA TOUR course.

“Comcast inviting us to participate in the Rocket Classic allows us to share that mission with attendees and creates visibility for how we help student athletes in Wayne and Macomb counties to break barriers, unlock potential, and build brighter futures.”

Golf & Give Powered by Comcast

Beyond the course, Comcast powered the Rocket Classic’s Golf & Give program, creating opportunities for local non-profits to get in on the tournament action.

Golf & Give is an opportunity for non-profit organizations based in Michigan to fundraise through ticket sales to the Rocket Classic, Detroit’s PGA TOUR tournament. Participating non-profit organizations received $30 of each competition round ticket purchased in their name to help support their mission.

In addition to a portion of the ticket proceeds, registered organizations were able to campaign for donations and received 100% of the donations they fundraised for.

Comcast is also donating $5,000 to the non-profit that sold the most tickets through June 29, 2025.
